Caturra Washed Coffee Beans

Few varieties are as deeply woven into the story of Colombian coffee as the Caturra — a natural mutation of the legendary Bourbon, cultivated in Colombia for over a century and celebrated worldwide for its clean, bright, and beautifully balanced cup. This is Colombian coffee at its most classic and iconic expression.

Sourced directly from Jairo Arcila at La Pradera farm in the Quindío region, grown at 1,450 metres above sea level, this is genuine direct trade — transparent, traceable, and built on a relationship with one of Colombia's most respected producers. Every bag connects you to the farm, the farmer, and the harvest.

Processed through a 2-Phase Fermentation and washed method, the beans are carefully fermented before being fully washed, producing a cup of exceptional clarity and balance. The result is a coffee that is both familiar and refined: citrus acidity, smooth caramel sweetness, and a lingering finish of cacao nibs — structured, satisfying, and endlessly drinkable.

Locally roasted in small batches in-house at our Adelaide roastery on a Medium-Dark Roast profile, this Caturra is at its best as an espresso or milk-based coffee — a flat white, latte, or cappuccino — though it holds its own beautifully in a batch brew.

This is the coffee that built Colombia's reputation. Honest, classic, and consistently exceptional.
